Ken Given has been with Qualcomm since July of 1996, he started out as a Shipping/Receiving Specialist
working in the Infrastructure Division. In 1999 he transferred to QREF Division (Qualcomm Real Estate and Facilities) and
has worked his way up to a Manager position. He manages Corporate Shipping/Receiving, Shuttle Services and Fleet Transportation
for all the San Diego Sites which encompasses 39 buildings around the Sorrento Mesa area. He also Manages the Corporate
Mail Center with all domestically and Internationally mail incoming and outgoing.
What you will see:
Operation of the ID Mail Sorter - you will see the day to day operations on how we sort our mail through the ID Mail Sorter. The operator will explain the step by step sequences as each piece works its way through the sorter and into the assigned bin. Each piece of mail is label and stamped before sorted into its bin. Qualcomm averages around 76,000 pieces of mail through the sorter bi-monthly
Mail Center - Bi-weekly Qualcomm averages
18,000 - 20,000 pieces of incoming mail and applies postage to around 11,000 - 12,000 pieces of outgoing mail.
